Congratulations Sharolyn Burt
We would like to congratulate Sharolyn Burt, former Project Discovery Alexandria participant, for her graduation from William & Mary on Saturday, May 16, 2020. President Rowe, Chancellor Gates, Provost Agouris, and the Deans presided over the 2020 Virtual Commencement Ceremony for all graduates – undergraduate, graduate and professional. While attending William & Mary. Sharolyn became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and she is also a member of the National Pan-Hellenic Council.

In June of 2016, as a member of Project Discovery Alexandria, Sharolyn Burt was awarded a $4,000.00 scholarship from ARServices. In subsequent years through her graduation, she was awarded additional scholarship funds from ARServices. ARServices, headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, provides research and development, business transformation and integrated logistics services as a contractor for the federal government. Mr. Jay McCargo is the President & Chief Executive Officer of ARServices.
Sharolyn was also a paid intern for ARServices from 2016 until her graduation. During Sharolyn’s internship, she assisted with: human resources audits; contract audits, newsletter updates and various projects conducted by ARServices.
Sharolyn’s achievements are a testament to all students that “If You Believe, You Can Achieve”.
